This French bakery is a must-visit, even if it means a slight detour for a coffee or croissant. It’s the best croissant I’ve had in ages and the best coffee of my vacation.

In addition to the croissants, they offer a variety of delicious baked goods, charcuterie, freshly squeezed orange juice, and more.

The location isn’t particularly remarkable, set along a busy street – though slightly recessed. However, we still enjoyed sitting outside with a morning coffee and croissant in the sun. It’s also ideally situated for convenient takeaway.

Bar Alhambraadvertises “slow tapas” in the window. While not exactly slow, everything is prepared to perfection and there is no rush for you to finish your meal. All the classic dishes are here and they are excellent. We were fortunate to have a table outside, enjoying the superb atmosphere and service. What amazed me was discovering this restaurant in a quiet, enjoyable little plaza just around the corner from the main square and church.

We stopped by for a quick coffee after lunch, and this place left quite an impression. As we enjoyed a delicious cortado, we noticed the ovens built into the back wall and asked about their history. It turns out this spot was a bakery for years, with the impressive ovens still in operation by the current owner’s father until the pandemic. Now transformed into a café, the ovens add a touch of atmosphere and history.

The restaurant provides a stunning view along with exceptional meat and local specialties. The carpaccio and slow-roasted goat leave a lasting impression. While the interior isn’t particularly remarkable, the breathtaking view compensates for it. On windy days (like the day we visited), you can sit inside and still appreciate the beautiful surroundings.

I highly recommend this restaurant—I only wish I had time to visit more than once on my vacation. While it may resemble a cafeteria from the outside, it offers a charming atmosphere, outstanding service, and a prime beachfront location with stunning sea views. The food is exceptional. The Peruvian Ceviche is particularly addictive, and the Arroz with Octopus, according to Jonathan, is magnificent.
